If running out the door with your doughnut isn’t your thing, you can sit down on one of their couches. Relax and enjoy your doughnut while sipping your coffee or tea!
There are so many choices here, so we ordered a dozen to share with our co-workers at the office, although there are twice that many flavors to explore. We bought the Little O’s, half as large as the Big O’s, so it’s like eating half a doughnut, right? You can feel good about indulging in one of these little babies.
The Orange Cardamon doughnut, and the Blueberry Lavender doughnut were hard to resist, doused in all that moist icing. A steady stream of customers came in for their doughnut and coffee fix for the day, leaving with bags of doughnuts and smiles on their faces. Be warned, closing time is whenever they sell out of doughnuts, we’re glad we came in early.
The Big O Doughnuts is family owned, founded in 2015, now in their new location, on the southwest corner of 248 W 900 S, Salt Lake City. Something else we discovered on this trip..* The dictionary-approved spelling for this sweet treat is doughnut. The shortened donut has been around since the late 1800s, but it wasn’t popularized until the late 20th century in America by a successful doughnut chain -making it ubiquitous.
Friday and Saturday have unique hours with an additional afternoon/ evening opening with fresh doughnuts.
