Brass Smoothies at Ninth and Ninth

July 7, 2017

The other day we dropped into the newly opened, Brass Smoothies in the 9th & 9th district of downtown Salt Lake City.

Brass smoothies 9th and 9th

In the heat of summer there’s nothing better than fresh smoothie.  We were out and about the other day in search of something quick and healthy when we discovered Brass Smoothies.  It’s a bit hard to see from the road, tucked behind Mabo Clothier, next to Publick Kitchen, Brass Smoothies is on the north side of 9th south.  Look for their lunch board with the big “B” on it on the sidewalk in front and follow the arrow!

The small space is packed with style and the menu is full of healthy smoothies! The Golden Hour smoothie with lemon,  ginger,  turmeric, spinach,  banana , cashew , coconut yogurt  and almond milk is deliciously smooth and packs a wholesome, tasty and energizing punch!    Another favorite is the matcha, avocado,  banana, date,  spinach and coconut water smoothie called The Guru.  Yum.

If you’re more of a classic smoothie, slightly sweeter sensibility  kinda folk, they’ll whip up a strawberry or pineapple, coconut mango smoothie at a whim.

If you just need something warm and hearty to stick to your ribs and satisfy the rumbling in your stomach, they offer a breakfast of steel cut oats topped with almond milk, fresh fruit and coconut flakes.

And last but not least they have a Acai bowls with toppings of granola, hemp, chia and coconut flakes.  We can’t wait to try the Acai bowl with a base blend of sweet matcha, pineapple, banana, lime and almond milk.  What an amazing blend!

If you’re looking for happy, health conscious fare or an easy snack and you’re in the 9th and 9th area, this place is a dream come true!  Check it out.
